I'm teaching at a quilt retreat.
August 1st-3rd, at the Hotel Cazan in Mamou LA $599 includes hotel, classes, kit/pattern, and trunk show.

A favorite class is my stained glass technique (kit included). It can look stunningly real. The second class is my improv flower garden (pattern included). It's unbelievable how 10 people can use the same pattern and have such varied results!

Many thanks for the birthday wishes from my FB friends! Y'all really are the best. I think I "liked" my gratitude to everyone, but it's possible that I missed or lost a few. (Sorry, Leta)

I spent the day toggling between a fabulous, 1947 b&w film, The Best Years of Our Lives, (highly recommend it) and some of our beautiful grands. Richard and I are blessed beyond measure and thank God everyday for our hallowed lives.

A quilt that I finished and (finally) took photos of.
"ROAR! The Dinosaur" is a small quilt that will be sold ($50) with all proceeds going to the Cotton Quilters' Guild.

These quilts really deserve to be together, so you get a bonus. They are sister quilts made for two granddaughters who really know how to be sisters. They wanted the quilts to be different but also to coordinate. Sometimes they share a room, sometimes they don't. And the girls have very different personalities. Anyway, here are the sister quilts. Aren't they "close but not quite" in color and design? You should see them on single beds in the same room. Perfect!
