KALEIDOS is an independently-run online shop based in Virginia near Washington D.C. Inspired by our fascination with the kaleidoscope, the name derives from the ancient Greek words, kalos and eidos, which in translation means, "beautiful kind." We carry a collection of hand-picked vintage apparel along with selected designs by independent designers and makers. We are passionate about discovering a

nd shining light on these artists, and aim to be a space where their creative works are celebrated and where our guests can be inspired. Our goal is simple - to curate a shop of beauty.

My vision for Kaleidos has always been a concept that extends beyond retail. My hope is for it to be felt and experienced rather than transactional. Kaleidos is a space of discovery, community, and inspiration. A space where you’re surrounded by beauty, good energy, and leave feeling more connected and empowered than when you walked in.

3 years ago I had the opportunity to open a brick-and mortar store. I was excited to see my vision grow and expand in that space, but in March 2020 the world shut down. And in April 2020 I gave birth to my daughter. For 3 years, I have put my business on the back burner while I focused on being a new mom during a very isolating time.

I’ve been slowly re-emerging Kaleidos and I have SO many ideas! Your support helps me bring these ideas to life. So THANK YOU for your follows, shares, purchases, and overall enthusiasm for Kaleidos!

My vision remains the same, but a few things have evolved.

1) I have a fresh new visual brand that embodies Kaleidos in a way that feels more fun and allows for it to evolve and be more expressive as it grows. A special thanks to .studio.studio for helping me with the rebrand.

2) My retail offering is now focused on curated vintage clothing. My hope is to eventually reintroduce new goods again - products like accessories, jewelry, lifestyle pieces that compliment my vintage selections. But for now, it’s vintage.

3) While I no longer have a brick-and-mortar store, I do still have my hidden gem of a studio space in Falls Church, VA where I plan on activating curated events and gatherings.

If you’ve been around since I first launched Kaleidos in 2015, wow! And thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you’re new here, welcome! I hope you stick around for the evolution and all the good things ahead. 💫

Hi friends! I’m super excited to host my very first vintage mini market at the studio on 8/21 with some wonderful friends . There will be vintage home goods, clothing & cold brew served by ! And of course, I’ll be there with a small selection of Kaleidos Vintage too. ☺️

I’ve always envisioned the studio to be a vessel for creativity and a space where I can evolve as I go/grow. At the heart, that is what Kaleidos has always been about — evolving and allowing the light to shine on all the facets of who I am. ✨Life looks different now for me, and while I haven’t been able to produce much with , I love the idea of being able to open up my studio space for others to create their beauty. This is a personal post because it’s personal.

BLACK LIVES MATTER.

I believe in kindness. But kindness is not silence. Racism needs to be eradicated! There is a lot of work to be done here beyond posting on social media. I will continue to put in the work because my heart is grieving for my brown and black brothers and sisters. I’ve started the inner work and am having the conversations with my family, but I’m not here to list the things I’ve done to show you like some checklist. I’m here because our black community needs us! I’m here because innocent black lives are being murdered by the police force with no true accountability! We need justice! We need equality! We need to wake up!

I haven’t been posting much here lately because I am a new mother and have been taking time for that, but I’d like to make space to amplify black voices here. I will start with the ones I know, but would love your help in discovering more. Please comment below and tag black-owned businesses, artists, makers, designers, activists, and inspiring individuals that I can highlight throughout the week.
