Hello, My name is Katie Mars I'm 27, this is my Thrive Experience. I'm a happy wife, grateful mother of 2 beautiful children.
I was first introduced to THRIVE August 2015, after receiving the worst news. Our 5 month old daughter was transferred to Milwaukee Children's Hospital after a scary trip to the ER on August 11th, 2015. She was diagnosed with double lung pneumonia, bronchiolitis, she needed to be monitored closely at the children's hospital. During her stay the doctor's became concerned, she wasn't meeting her milestones, she wasn't reacting to the machines they were using to help her, the doctors said she was too calm. The doctors completed some testing for some underlying conditions, she was too "floppy" for being 5 months old.
On August 14th, 2015, the doctors performed a (EMG) (Electromyography). After the test was completed the doctors left for the day. If it wasn't for the head of the Infant ICU we wouldn't have been told anything until Monday. The doctor felt it wasn't right for that to happen considering the circumstances. That (EMG) test confirmed the worst news, we, as parents could have received. Our daughter was diagnosed with SMA, Spinal Muscular Atrophy it's a terminal genetic disease in infants.
Our friend knew we would benefit from Thrive, so she sent us Thrive to trial. It wasn't until April 2016 when we called Sam, and asked her how to begin. OH BOY! Thrive is truly the best product ever, REALLY! It's 3 simple steps right away when you wake up, the lifestyle shake is really yummy.
Pre-Thrive, I wasn't in the best shape at all. I was stressed to the max, Zailynn required therapies daily, nightly; while we cared for our son too. We resorted to fast food and eating out often. We knew we needed to change for ourselves and our family. Our children deserved better. Our daily routine, we stayed up late every night, slept until both children woke up around 10:00. We would complete our daughter's therapy's, make lunch, prepare our daughter's feds, she was tube fed, couldn't eat anything by mouth at all or she could aspirate, she was strictly tube feed. After our children were fed, taken care of we all ended up back on the couch watching television and eventually taking a nap. We knew we had to change. The answer was simple, THRIVE, I was a first day thriver. I had so much energy I cleaned my house from top to bottom, got rid of a lot of stuff, I re-organized too.
I felt amazing, unfortunately we were only able to Thrive for 3 months. Mother's day weekend 2016 we went out for breakfast with friends, family and had a wonderful time. A week later our daughter caught a cold, in her case it wasn't good at all, children who have (SMA) can't fight off a cold like our bodies can and normally end up in the hospital for weeks or even months. Our family was palliative care, our daughter was on hospice. SMA took our perfect baby girl from us, May 15th, 2016, our daughter gained her angel wings, she was called to be with the lord. Loosing her has been very hard, devastating beyond words. She was perfect. I have to be strong for my family, my son who is almost 5. Our daughter is up above, watching over us. I learned so much from Zailynn. I set my fears aside, just live life to the fullest.
I believe in this product! When I reach out to you it's because I truly care, I want you to feel amazing like I do every single day. I've been Thriving again since December 2016 :)
Thrive is a blessing, I'm determined to inspire, help others feel as good as I do every single day.
Thank-you for taking the time to read my story. Hope you have a blessed day.
