👟 Is it time to replace your favorite shoes? 👟
We often wait until our shoes are completely falling apart to grab a new pair. But did you know that your shoes can be worn out long before they actually look "bad"? Wearing worn-out footwear can lead to foot, knee, and back pain.
Here are 3 easy ways to tell if your current shoes have seen better days:
Look for Foam Compression Lines: Check the foam midsole on the sides of your shoes. If you see heavy wrinkling, deep compression lines, or a "crinkled" look even when you aren't wearing them, the cushioning has compressed permanently and lost its shock absorption.
The Tabletop Test: Set your shoes on a flat surface at eye level. Are they leaning to one side? Is the heel worn down unevenly? If the foundation is crooked, your alignment will be too.
The Ache Check: Have you noticed new aches in your arches, heels, or joints after a normal day on your feet? That’s your body telling you the support is gone.
