👰🏻‍♀️ I’m a hair too tall for my grandma’s wedding gown, but man it was special to try it on today. 💕 She made it herself for her August ‘71 wedding. Her flowers were yellow! 💛 We are going to work pieces of this gown into my little sister’s ensemble for her wedding day. 👰🏼‍♀️

✨ Sequins make a mess, but holy cow do they look beautiful under hard light! 😂 This seamstress is unfortunately under isolation due to a positive COVID test. 🤒 I am grateful for understanding clients when I have to rearrange our appointments. 🧡 But hey that gives me time to sort through the pics I’ve snapped in the past few weeks! 💜 This gown is serving Little Mermaid to me! 🧜🏻‍♀️

🧡 Ladies—never knock a Goodwill gown! 🤍 This time of year, you can find wedding gowns and crinolines in the Halloween aisles for super cheap—just buy a larger size than you fit into to accommodate alterations. 🪡 Given enough time and good communication, you can modernize most vintage gowns well within your *new gown budget.* This is simply a sheer overlay with big poofy sleeves I’ve made for my own ‘80s cosplay interests, but I am also going to use it to display some of the services I offer, in time. 💕
