Hey guys, sorry I've been quiet! I've been working on multiple projects that I can't wait to show you all!
One of them is this Dragonfruit cropped tank! Krista sydney โœจ and I came up with this silly inside joke where we're fruits (perhaps inspired by the movie Forbidden Fruits) and wanted to make shirts that reflect our personalities!
My shirt came along as it went. I began by hand-embroidering my fruit name in its colors, then decided to tie-dye it. I felt like it needed something more, so I sprayed it with bleach and then washed it with OUT White Brite. After cutting and hemming it, this is the result!
It turned out very 90s and I love it! One of my favorite parts of designing is how the product can evolve as you make it, and this is a good example of that! ๐Ÿชกโค๏ธ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’š

The denim is from what used to be a denim jacket with faux leather sleeves, and the shirt I haven't worn since high school. Added some studded leather trim and I'm loving the result ๐Ÿค˜

The bodice of this dress was upcycled from a kimono! I layered iridescent fabric on top and trimmed it with sparkly ribbon to incorporate some Y2K cybercore vibes ๐Ÿ’ฟ
The skirt fabric reminded me of TV static, and I added a layer of mesh on top to mimic fishnet, thinking of the sea ๐ŸŒŠ
