When I closed my shop, we were selling off everything!! From hangers and fixtures, to shelves and mannequins, it all had to go. We had a massive sale the day after we closed, and so many local boutique owners showed up to grab what we had!
But there were a few things I grabbed that I just couldn’t part with!❤️
✨My candy jar - this lil guy was in my store from day 1! It typically held the ever-popular dum-dums, and seasonally would change to candy canes, or Halloween suckers, but always a lil treat for our little visitors! I wanted to keep this to have in my home, to keep sweet treats for the kids who come into our house!❤️
✨The spring flower pot/plant - We’d change our shop decor with the seasons, and once the winter decor (think snow flakes and winter trees) came down, we brought out the greenery and plants to signify spring was in the shop! I always loved this pretty plant, and made me feel like spring was on the horizon! I placed it on my coffee table (along with my Easter bunny) this month, to signify spring is on the way!
✨Three heavy-duty shelves - we had 6 of these in our backroom, and I kept 3! I have big plans to reorganize all of our holiday decor in our basement, and these bad boys will help me put my organization plan into action! I think would be proud!😉
✨Our backroom sign - I don’t even remember where I got this, but I think these are all traits we try to teach our kids, so keeping this sign and putting it on display in my office is my plan.
✨The ampersand & - Shout out to .grain for making our custom logo out of wood for us to hang on our back wall, and keeping a part of that sign meant a lot to me! It will always remind me of my special shop and the joy that chapter brought to me and my family!
✨Our open/closed sign - made this for me in 2014, and it has welcomed every single shopper in both shops for 12 years! So many people would comment on it, and someone even wanted to buy it when we had our fixture sale! But something about that sign means so much to me! The closed says, “closed but still awesome”, and this is how I feel about my shop - closed, but still an awesome journey! (see comments)
