ATTENTION LOCAL BUSINESSES!!

Oakwood High School is hosting a career fair, and we would love your participation.

- When: Thursday March 21st (8:30-12:15)
- Where: OHS Gym

- This event will be opened to all Oakwood High School Juniors and Seniors. Our goal is for students to engage with professionals across several industries in order to have a better understanding of how a business works, options they have for their future, as well as connect with organizations they may be interested in being employed with.

- If you, or anyone you know would be interested in attending, email Taylen Wait at [email protected] so we can send you more information. We would love to see you there!

We have new apparel items and a new logo in our OHS Booster Club Comet Country Store. Check out the basketball team shop for some awesome student designs and apparel choices! Under fall sports, you will find NEW Soccer Regional Champs gear. Finally, we have also added apparel with the new school logo and a few options for zip hoodies.

We are working to add the following:
Additional basketball team shop items/designs (by December 1st)
Wrestling team shop (by December 1st)
Student designs (by December 1st)
Oakwood Era designs (by December 1st)
Cheer team shop
Spring sports team shop (baseball/softball/track)
Additional fall sports designs (football/soccer/cross country/golf/volleyball)

Congrats to Nikita Taylor for designing the new Comet Country logo and to Daniel Betzwiser for coming up with the Comet Country slogan.

Our OHS business students are doing some great things through our Comet Country store. Today, they donated $250 back to Oakwood Grade School from a fundraiser the grade school allowed us to do in December. The students presented a check to Mrs. Lapenas and Mrs. Acton. We are so proud of our students who are not only learning how to manage a business but also the importance of giving back.

Hey Comets and Comet fans…while we didn’t get these cute hot and cold mugs in time for our snow days at home, we will have them available when we return to school and just in time for our next Coffee Cart next week. If you are interested in purchasing one of these awesome clear mugs that are school approved, please see one of the Business Concepts students or Mrs. Brant. They are $10 each.

Remember, we also still have playing cards and clear water bottles available along with many other fun Comet spirit gear. Come see our little store set up in Mrs. Brant’s room and stay tuned for updates on expanding our school store. Part of the proceeds go back to different school organizations.
