So this post isn’t like the others.

3 years ago I was the biggest I had ever been including pregnancy.
3 years ago today I decided to take charge of my health.
3 years ago I decided that I wanted to be able to run and play with my kids.
3 years ago I decided that I wanted to be a strong role model for my daughter.
3 years ago I decided that taking time for myself was important.
3 years ago I found the most amazing community and family and I can’t imagine leaving.
When I started I thought I just wanted to be skinny. What a silly gal I was. Over time, I learned that I didn’t want that at all. I wanted to be healthy. Strong. Positive. A better wife, mom, and friend.
It’s never too late to try something new. Never, would I have thought when I was 41 with two kids, would I be hitting PR’s weightlifting!
I may never be “skinny” again, but I am so proud of this body and all that it’s done and continues to do! I’m proud to have stuck with this incredible gym for three years. More so, I am so blessed to have made friendships with so many amazing people who lift me up and push me to be better every day. Here’s to three more!
