“From One, Through Another”

A set of masks designed for “the body in sculpture” prospect for sculpture II. The inspiration spurred from optometrist phoroptor used to gage one’s vision. The mask can be worn by anyone so they can engaged with the sculpture, it is also see through so you can see from the other end even through the second mask. I kept the rough texture on the outside of the mask to give it a weathered effect and to be in the likeness of traditional masks. The dusted spray paint, I feel, add to this effect. The first (wearable) mask is to portray aggression to the second more submissive mask. Eye contact is essential to communication. This piece focuses on the connection or disconnect of eye contact between the second half. Who is addressing who? What is pulling or pushing? Where is the imitation contact?

Post it notes again fill the windows of Olive Hall on UNA’s campus. This mural consists of two open hearts for pictures with you and a significant other, AND two emojis to show love to everyone who can see them. Love is for everyone. A small weekend project with inspiration from Antony Gromley.

I took cardboard boxes from and cut them into pieces then hot glued them together to make smaller boxes then glued those boxes together to make the human-like for. After that some fabric and an exato knife made it’s way into the pic in its own funky style.
