Children notice differences—and that’s okay.
They notice wheelchairs, medical devices, scars, different ways of communicating, moving, learning, and playing.
Instead of teaching children not to notice, we can teach them to understand, respect, and include. 💛
Inclusive books give children a safe way to learn about experiences different from their own, while giving children with disabilities and medical differences the chance to see themselves represented, too.
This back-to-school season, let’s make sure we’re not only filling backpacks with supplies—we’re filling bookshelves with stories that teach empathy, kindness, and belonging. 📚✨
