Congratulations to STHS Cross Country Runners of the Week, sophomores Colin "Dreamweaver" Walsh and Sophie Wright. Walsh battled the feared Will "The Thrill" Strutton throughout the District One Championships, finishing in a big PR of 19:09. Sophie had the wright stuff, running the Lehigh 5K course two minutes and 15 seconds (!) faster (24:49) than she did in the Sub One Championships the week before.

Congratulations to STHS Cross Country Runner of the Week Eric Stoudt. The sophomore ran a big PR of 20:42 in the triangular meet with Upper Moreland and Cheltenham, finishing third among the Spartan runners.

Congratulations to Springfield Community Day 5K winners, the Wissahickon Wanderers Chris Moore (18:47) and women's winner Mary Brierly. Also, another shout out to STHS Cross Country runner Katie Komorowski, who picked up her second award of the current season by finishing third in the women's division in 23:35.

Kudos to STHS Cross Country Athlete of the Week Katie Komorowski. The Spartans' sophomore #1 female runner was a medal winner in the big Council Rock Invitational for the second straight year, making her two-for-two in the awards category at Tyler State Park.

Celebrate the 41st Annual Philadelphia Distance Run and the first anniversary of Wissahickon Valley Running on Saturday, Sept. 15 and Sunday, Sept. 16 from noon to 6 p.m. Ten percent off everything in the store, and an extra 10% off if you have a PDR (or even a Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon) shirt.
