I finished another UFO quilt! It was a class sample from a long time ago; I think it was a Christmas Quilt Class and I was showing an option for using the pattern as a birthday gift. Anyway, years later now, the extra fabric that was going to be added to the 'packages' is long gone, as is the backing fabric. I don't even remember exactly how it was all going to go! I just sashed the top and it was ready to quilt, with embellishments going to be added afterwards. Ugh, can't go to the fabric store, so I searched through boxes to find something for the back (NEVER have I stored large enough pieces to be backing pieces!). Found something I could piece and worked on matching fabric skills (happy with the outcome!!). Then I fretted over what the 'bows' were going to be...couldn't find that largest Yo-Yo maker that I had decided I had planned for the bows....searched and found.... one small doily! I tossed it on and it looks ADORABLE to me! Found some online and ordered...they came and here is the finished quilt. I think it went from the dull ugly duckling to a very cute little huggable duck right away! 🐦😊
So, were you in this class? Do you remember the year?? If yours is still in the UFO pile, GRAB it out and finish it off! This was so cute to me, hope it is useful info to you, too! Note: only a few packages have tags.

I've worked on gathering information on home sewing PPE Masks (Personal Protection Equipment Masks) but the information keeps changing practically daily, as more facts come to light. I decided to go ahead and post the information as the filter mask I liked is still usable for some situations. However, I also added a link for home sewing an N95 type filter. I know there are lots of videos on YouTube but both of these videos made sense to me as they weren't selling anything and I felt the information was presented in a pretty straightforward manner. I hope they are useful to you. This is the spirit in which they are offered--keep looking for up-to-date information, share your resources and talents to help and bless others with your support and prayers. I don't know what's going on but I'm trying to post November's FREE Tiny Block of the Month in Quiltbird Studio Enthusiasts Group! Sadly, FB is not letting me even post anything there, let alone add the file. I'm out of pocket until after November 1st so I guess it has to wait until after the first...I did try and it's frustrating to me but I don't have any way to do it now... :(
