🏆 Congratulations, Kali! 🎉
We could not be more proud to celebrate Kali Hatcher, New River Community Action’s 2026 Volunteer of the Year! 🥇🥳
This recognition has a beautiful full-circle story behind it:
Kali’s journey with New River Community Action began years ago as a Head Start student. Later, when she became a mom herself, she joined CHIP, our home-visiting program.
Kali loved being part of the CHIP family so much that she decided she wanted to give back.
And give back she has ❤️
Kali became a volunteer at the Floyd CHIP Baby Shop, and her kindness, dependability and genuine love for Floyd families quickly became impossible to miss. When another volunteer can’t make a shift, Kali is often the first to step up. She cares deeply about keeping the shop running, making families feel welcome, and making sure this little community resource continues to be here when a family needs it.
Her dedication recently earned her another role: Lead Volunteer for the Floyd CHIP Baby Shop.
And now, Volunteer of the Year!
From Head Start student → CHIP mom → Baby Shop volunteer → Lead Volunteer → Volunteer of the Year.
That is community coming full circle 💞
Kali truly represents what CHIP is all about: families growing stronger, supporting one another, and turning around to lift up the next family.
We are so incredibly proud of you, Kali. This recognition is so very well deserved.
