It's a shame when the world fails to understand the full picture of what spearfishing entails... it's not safe like the seafood counter at the local grocery store, it is active engagement in the natural world and with that comes risk of life and limb but also a deeper connection to our meals and satisfaction in life. In Sea founder Ryan McInnis is under attack for an incident occurring years ago that may have been his last dive if not for the actions of his friends, so let's show some support, as unfortunate as the situation was, for a guy that knows how important sharks are to the world's oceans.

8' female washed up on this morning. In 1997 founder Ryan Mcinnis and colleague Merritt Horsmon wrote a thesis paper while completing their marine biology degree at UNCW proposing a population census of the in the Northwestern Atlantic off of ... they got a C- because "everyone knows there are no Great Whites out there"... we call for a grade change!! Upon initial investigation there was no readily apparent cause of death, but it is exciting that juveniles are present here as well as the mature females that OCEARCH has documented, further supporting that North Carolina is the most interesting place to dive in the world!
