Hello friends.
As we rebuild The Islander, we are incorporating a valued piece of our Pier Peddler history.
If any of you ever visited the store, you know about our police patch and service member patch collection. Unfortunately, the vast majority of them were lost in the storm, and though we have received many from folks near and far and even have quite a few that survived the storm thanks to our friend Christy...we'd like to include as many of you as possible!
So... If you had your patch at the store before or you'd like to be included now, please send it to us at The Islander at 7105 Estero Blvd #400 Ft. Myers Beach, FL 33931

Hello friends!
It's been a long six months since that faithful day in September, but things are becoming clearer and there are opportunities to resurrect The Pier Peddler!
Seems fitting to post this during Easter week!
I will fill you in with details as they firm up but for now I have a favor to ask. If you were someone who generously shared your service patch with us, police, fire, armed services...would you consider sending us another so that we might recreate our display?
Below you will see a board that survived the storm. I'll never forget how I cried when I saw this! A dear friend has become the "keeper of the patches" and has painstakingly washed and cleaned each one that's been found.
There seems no better 1st step to take than to plan for space that meant so much to us and to so many of you.

One of our first employees, Lone was part of our family for more than 35 years. She was loved and she will be missed. We will forever be grateful for every moment we shared.

Lone Meyer, age 82, of Ft. Myers Beach passed away January 26th, 2023. She was born on December 4th,1940 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Lone is preceded in death by husband Carl Meyer, boyfriend George Ankarlo, and daughters Susan Shaffer and Tina Springman. She is survived by children Mike Shaffer Daniell...
