I was given a vintage white dress some time ago and I had a blast using the oversized satin bow and more lace to remake the bodice, and dye the dress with tea, cranberries and blackberries

Just finished hand tacking over 9yds of binding today and my fingers say its time to quit for the night! Im so excited, the quilt is almost done!

I am in the thick of making my very first quilt. My queen size tee-shirt strip quilt is all pieced and sandwiched and pinned at the moment. Oh, and look who decided to help me with my piecing :)

Sometimes I get crazy ideas . . . like taking my Dad's cast off ties and sewing them in a collage together to make an awesome striped skirt . . . however after much self examination I decided that I am not sure I would wear it much and so I just took a picture that shows some of the character of these pure silk ties.
