So very thankful we are home, safe, and didn't have any serious damage! Giving God thanks! Also thankful that damage in our community was relatively minimal. Yes, we had flooding again and some of those people were just flooded out 2 weeks ago, which is horrible, but we still didn't have nearly the amount of flooding or wind damage that we had 2 years ago! Only 2 homes had more serious wind damage (1 is our good friends' 😞) and we didn't lose power or water! Thank you all for your prayers! They worked!!! 🩷

We're heading toward home now. Taking the "scenic route" to try and avoid traffic. So far, almost no one on the road! People who stayed said it's not even close to damage caused by Ian and flooding similar to what we got from Helene. So I'll see when we get back if more homes are flooded or just a rerun from 2 weeks ago. Fingers crossed! But I give all the glory to God that it was not worse! Prayer works!

It's the calm after the storm in Ft. Lauderdale. We are good although the motorhome was shaken (not stirred) a LOT! last night. The sun is coming up and we wait to go home to see the aftermath of Milton.

It's a cluster in Florida once again. MANDATORY EVACUATION of zones A and B by 3pm TODAY! We are in zone A. Stores and roads are super crazy and the rain has started again. We got 5" of rain yesterday and will get many more inches before Milton arrives on Wednesday. The majority of people in the park have left or are leaving soon and I still urge the rest to PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE safe. Milton will be a cat 5. We are expecting 5-10' of storm surge. We can hope he will slow down a little before he reaches land but I wouldn't count on it. It's deja vu all over again. We are heading east now to our favorite hurricane-riding-out Cracker Barrel parking lot near Ft. Lauderdale in our motorhome. Now it's a VERY LONG 2 1/2 - 3 day, stomach in knots, waiting game until Hurricane Milton passes and we can get back home. I'll continue to pray for all of us and appreciate prayers from everyone elsewhere. 🩷
