I'm now free to share a quilt designed with/for a friend as a special gift. Starting with just a color pallet, and an idea, this is what we ended up with. They both loved it.

Wow! T-shirt quilts have really become a thing. I first made one for myself, then one as a gift. The recipient shared it with friends, and the orders started coming in. The neat thing about T-shirt quilts, is they can be whatever you want! Light-weight or heavy with a minky backing. A checkerboard of squares, or fitted to each other with sashing. I've found each shirt collection speaks to me and becomes something unique.

Happy New Year! If you're starting to make quilt tops as a new hobby, I'll answer questions as I can, and quilt them for you when you're ready. Or, if one of your resolutions was to get those unfinished projects done, arrange for long-am quilting.

My own memory quilt. This was found amongst my sister's possesions. I couldn't finish it in her style, but I could make it useable. Another picture has more details.

I chose to quilt my memory quilt with angels. The explanatory panel tucked into a blanket spot shows what embroidery can add. And the panel - well, sometimes you have to hide a flaw.
