Today marks 5-years sober. I could not have done this without my wife. It’s not easy to live with someone with an addiction and then when they’re sober it’s not an instant easy street. I started this journey by writing daily and I miss that. With those clippings lost, I plan to start writing more with hopes to help others in civil service fighting addiction. At first I felt like an imposter, now 5-years later I can with great confidence say that I am an alcoholic.
