Current project…Kimberbell ‘Gather Together’ bench pillow for November. It has a little bit of embroidery that I’m about to start. The applique pieces that come with the instructions are pre-fused. Somebody along the process missed adding fusible to part of one of the pieces so I’ll have to add a bit of my own to the last half inch of the fabric.

I have a friend who is downsizing from a house to apartment so she had to decide what to keep and what to take. One thing she is selling is this large container of Sizzix items. Her whole collection! Here is my contribution to the miniature quilt auction for our upcoming quilt show the last week of July/1st of August 2025. There will be so many artistic miniature quilts to choose from. The auction is located in the lobby, before the show entrance. Please go and bid on a quilt. Some bids start at $5 and you don’t have to be present to win. Congratulations to Amy Steinert for her winning ribbons on her quilt entries at the North Texas Quilt Festival this weekend. Her precise piecing skills help make the decision easier for the judges, I’m sure. I got to quilt this one for her not too long ago. Way to go, Amy!

Congratulations to Martha Scott for winning first place in her category at the North Texas Quilt Festival this weekend. It was a long process, but loved custom quilting this one for her earlier this year. It gave me a perfect opportunity to work on perfecting my free-motion skills, all through the project.

I have this beautiful wall hanging under the frame today. The fresh, modern, straight-line quilting I’m implementing on it is really fitting in with the design just fabulously! I can’t wait to see it hung on a wall.

I ended up using WIX to rebuild my website. For something simple, it was was quick and easy. I just started with a template and modified the text and photos. It's not completely finished, but you can check out my new layout at

Google Domains is dropping their free website hosting services for their registrar customers and transferring registration services to squarespace, so will need to move my website to another host before the end of the month. A long time ago, I used to use GoDaddy. It looks like that might still be a good option, as I get a free webpage if I transfer my domain over from Google. Sorry to see Google get out of that part of the business. I enjoyed their support while it lasted.

It’s a winner…congratulations to Amy Steinert. Her expertise in piecing, color selection and quilt design choices helped her win two ribbons on her quilt at the North Texas Quilt Festival. The red, white and blue ribbon is an an Award of Merit for Exemplary Workmanship. I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to quilt for her.
