I've been searching for the right words and can only come up with one. Grateful.

Grateful for the time we had for such a unique loving soul to adopt us and be there with love and genuine caring. By us I mean all of us- you too. Every person she ever met she left a little permanent impression on their hearts. Even those people who didn't know they could be "dog people." lol

Grateful for EVERY person who has been a part of her world and gave her joy for the past 12 years that we have known her.

Grateful for all of you who overwhelmingly showed such love and concern for her and us. Also for the amazing doctor who came to her bedside and helped her peacefully and without stress take her journey to the next episode Tuesday evening.

Please feel free to share pics or stories and celebrate the life of the legendary Athena.
She personally left me with the message that life is too short, just spread the love. And cheese is delicious and pooping in the neighbors yard is fun but frowned upon...

We will be closed today. Unfortunately our sweet Athena has been having a rough day, took a bad fall and needs medical attention in the morning. She's cozy tucked in bed with pain management right now and appreciates all the love and prayers as we navigate this course together as a family. Thank you for understanding and will update after we know more.
