I want to start by apologizing for the silence on our social media over the past month. Retro’s The Vault has been closed during that time because we’ve had no staff available to keep the store running, and I didn’t want to leave our amazing customers in the dark any longer.
With a heavy heart, I have to share that after 2 and a half wonderful years, Retro’s The Vault will be closing its doors. This decision hasn’t come easy, but between the lack of available help and the closure of the Singing Bridge in Frankfort—something that cut off so much of our foot traffic—we’ve simply reached a point where it’s no longer sustainable.
To each and every one of you who has shopped with us, traded with us, told your friends about us, or just stopped by to talk games and nostalgia: thank you. You’ve made Retro’s The Vault more than just a store—you’ve made it a community. The support, encouragement, and friendships that have grown within these walls are what I will cherish most.
I’m deeply grateful for the chance to serve this community and to share in your love for retro games, Pokémon cards, and all the treasures we’ve hunted down together. Though our doors may be closing, I’ll carry these memories with me always, and I hope you will too.
Thank you, Frankfort, for embracing Retro’s The Vault and for being a part of this journey. It’s been an honor.
