Meet Mike and his daughter Kayla of Black Rose Designs and Apparel – a proud veteran-owned, family-run business serving the Greater 757 area with high-quality sports apparel that’s as bold and authentic as the people who wear it.

Mike, a native of the small town of Drewryville, Virginia, grew up surrounded by fabric, thread, and tradition. His mother, Ramona Rich, was a beloved sewing and quilting instructor for Southampton County 4 H during the late '90s, teaching local youth the value of craftsmanship and creativity. For Mike, needle and thread have never just been tools – they’ve been a way of life, passed down through generations.

Today, nearly 40 years later, that legacy lives on through Black Rose Apparel, where Mike and Kayla channel their passion for design, community, and quality into every stitch. Rooted in tradition and driven by purpose, Black Rose Designs and Apparel is more than just a brand – it’s a tribute to heritage, hard work, and homegrown pride
