Another amazing transformation completed! My clients had 6 high back fabric chairs in charcoal and 2 high back leather chairs in black that needed updating.

Option #1 - Do you buy new ? or
Option #2 - Would you use or find a good solid piece of furniture that just needs a little update?

Which would you choose?
Here is a great example of what happens when option #2 is chosen and you hire me to give it a custom transformation.

These two pieces were older but still had a lot of life in them. They both were solid wood and in great condition. The transformation began with Dixie Belle clear Bonding Boss and once dry Cotton Chalk mineral paint was applied. The pieces were sealed with Gator Hide. To save on costs the hardware was re-imagined gold

After finishing the Ethan Allen dining room set my client wanted her dad’s vintage gentlemen chest along with two Bombay Chests reimagined for her youngest daughter’s room. I have had the pleasure of transforming several pieces for these clients and usually when we schedule one project it turns into 2 or 3.
As I mentioned above the gentlemen’s chest was her Dads and the two Bombay chests are pieces they have had for years. They definitely were well used and looking a little worn. Even with the wear their classic design was still evident.
All three pieces received a blocker before painting and then were transformed with Dixie Belle Fuff, a little distressing and a touch of gold then sealed with Gator Hide.

Check out the transformation of this vintage Ethan Allen set. Nutmeg Maple Fiddleback/Windsor Dining Room table and six chairs (1960’-1970’s). Re-imagined with Dixie Belle French Linen as the base color with a Sawmill Gravy wash and sealed with Gator Hide.
