Re-post. I was trying to replace the version of this photo that I posted years ago with a better resolution version that I found and I managed to accidentally delete the original post. This photo was taken from where the Vality gas station used to be located which is now McDonalds.

Every Wednesday, Vality would feature a shopper in their grocery ad. The shopper would share their favorite recipe and receive a $5 Gift Certificate.

The first Who's Who appeared sometime in the fall of 1964. The earliest one I could find was published on Nov. 2, 1964. However, Google's archive of the New London Day has a gap between the 2nd week of September and the first week of November so there may have been an earlier one published. The last one was published on July 5, 1978.

Prior to publishing Who's Who in their Wednesday grocery ads, Vality would feature a photo of a local landmark as the background for those ads to emphasize their local connection.
