and are married! While they were both stars in the same TV franchise, the two never actually met on set. “We circled around each other for years as we both lived in Atlanta and worked on ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and ‘The Originals,’” Steven recalls. “We like to joke that we were probably in the same room a dozen times and never noticed each other.” It wasn’t until a cast reunion dinner in 2023 that they finally spoke to each other. Steven proposed to Candice at home in 2025 and the couple was initially planning on a big Nashville wedding with all their friends and family during the fall of 2026. Then, the pair found out the exciting news that they were expecting a baby boy, and their original plan went out the window. Instead, the actors tied the knot with just 15 guests.
