If you are attending prom, getting married or are in a wedding this year NOW is the time to start planning your alteration appointments! ESPECIALLY PROM!! Shop early and book your alterations!! There are not a lot of truly qualified and experienced seamstresses in the capital district, and those of us who are fill up fast!
I sincerely would love to alter as many dresses as possible! I don’t like turning work away! But every year I get calls at the last minute and I have to say no bc I am fully booked with peole who planned ahead. I will not work myself to death bc a sobbing bride “didnt think the alterations were a big deal” 🤷♀️ (spoiler alert: the alterations are almost always a bigger deal than you think they will be!) After 10 + years, Im kind of over the crazy feeling that I can’t say no. I can, and I will! 😉
What is last minute you ask??? 30 days till your event IS LAST MINUTE for prom and bridesmaids. 60 days or less is last minute if you’re a bride. Do not dawdle!! Even I, the queen of procrastination, know that waiting to book is dangerous! So get shopping and reach out to us ASAP.
