Had this amazing claw foot dresser staged after several hours of shooting. Moved it, tired but happy it was done.
Moved the matching chest of drawers in and set it up to shoot.

THEN noticed in every photo the light on left side of dresser looks like a mishap in finished product 😭

Well, nothing to do but drag out all my staging items and reshoot.

Just another day in the life of a person obsessed with vintage 😂

SOLD this unique, gorgeous vintage step- back, bowed 7 drawer highboy to the sweetest family.

A lovely young teen getting a most special room. Such fun to meet her and her darling best friend. Mom is a nurse with seriously ill poopulation - they are lucky to have such a special woman caring for them.

So honored they chose one of my pieces for the new room!! She still wants a long dresser. Of course, I am thrilled to help. But I volunteered to go there and help her create it herself. Both girls were excited about learning to paint, so maybe a road trip in my future!!

Here is a behind-the-scenes peek at my next project.
Bought the dresser in the photo and was offered the "matching piece". I said I'd only come for the dresser - - then I saw the highboy, wow! Good thing we have a truck!! Ha ha.....

Dresser was done in a flat black but appears green in this light. Plan to do the gorgeous highboy as I did the dresser.

Did you catch those amazing wooden ball claw feet?

Will get the dresser up for sale as soon as our weather clears and we get some sun for photos.

….and just like that, I fell into a black hole! So long since I have been able to work with furniture due to sudden back issues. PT, injections, and finally able to get back to my one of my passions.
In the meantime, so many wonderful family memories. My daughter went to speak at a conference and ends up on the “big screen” with one of my fav chefs, Chef Robert Irvine!

My 17 yr old, 6’ 4 grandson was on a summer basketball traveling team and I had the fun adventure of taking him to Oklahoma City. Lots of time on benches between games, but worth every moment. Anyone have grandchildren? Then you get it!
Suddenly it was football season! In Texas, Friday night football is THE event. Thankful he played QB and led team in prayer.

And we had another wedding! Our second grandson to choose a beautiful, caring young woman to join our family. What blessings these are, beautiful inside and out.

And, of course, always walks with my spirit dog, Blues.
So glad to be back. Will be posting the few pieces I was able to do during my forced vacation.

Better sit down – an amazing lady is a total stunner! In mint condition, this fabulous beauty is what buffet lovers dream of. She’s guaranteed to showcase your holiday meals or party food, and make you smile any time you walk by.
Have you always imagined a curvy vintage lady to warm up your home? You thought of how you’d decorate her with the changing seasons? But maybe the ones you looked at had a leg barely hanging on, a stuck drawer, mauled tops, smelled like smoke, or were too far away to consider moving?
Well, here is THE one. She is not only an attention grabber, she is gorgeous for her age. Legs are sound, her long drawers work exactly as they should. Not a ding on her, clean, insides look barely used, and no smells! Original hardware (cleaned).
While it would be expected normal wear would add scratches, dings, this vintage lady is nearly perfect. She has a tiny piece of trim missing on right side of second drawer (see photo, I almost missed it) Her top shows some expected but minimal use, with several smaller-than-a dime light areas on the top, one light area that appears to be scratched, and several very light places on the trim around the top. (See photos).
Purchased from original owner, she has had only had a very light polish with a particular polish that does not change the color of wood. Almost any polish will darken wood and would probably have covered the light marks on the top. However, I chose not to darken it.
Please note dimensions as she has a beautiful, very tall back piece that can be removed: L: 65”, W:22”,
H: 38 ¼ without the back, Height of back is 7 ¾.
