Okay, it's official! Tomorrow at noon, we will be having our preview opening of our fledgling, REGIMENTAL QUARTERMASTER JR. right next door at 53 Steinwehr Ave. We're still bringing in many new and exciting things, but stop by with the kids to see all the fun toys, crafts, games we have but know we have lots more on the way! We will have a treat for the kids.

We’ve been busy preparing an exciting new store, Regimental Quartermaster Jr., opening in March right next door at 53 Steinwehr Ave. The store will feature hands-on Civil War-era activities for kids, including crafts and games they can try at inside tables or outside in the back —many of which are available for purchase. Planned activities include a Paper Doll Fashion Show (Both dresses and soldiers, making Hard Tack, playing Jacks, an Old-Fashioned Marble Tournament, and making Corn Husk Dolls. And more! We hope to have a big event one weekend per month for the guests who have gotten tired out on the battlefield and kids want something they can be proud to take home with them. Watch for dates of the opening and monthly events right here on our site.
Any suggestions for what your children or grandchildren may like are welcome. Post in comments or give us a call at 717-338-1864.

This morning I am pumped and ready to go. It's an exciting day for a parade!
I so enjoy seeing many folks in our store that I only see once a year and yesterday was no exception! Today will be a blur compared to yesterday and tonight it will be another Remembrance Day in the books!

We will be open from 8 am to 8 pm today but will still get to enjoy the parade and admire all of the reenactors who have been our customers - some for the first time this year And many who have been in the hobby since George Lomas started nearly 60 years ago. Hats off to all!
Regimental Quartermaster is going strong and George is with us in spirit and I would like to think he is smiling down on Gettysburg and all of you! Have fun folks and let's show America what the history of Gettysburg and her people are all about!

Regimental Quartermaster is all loaded up and heading to Georgetown Delaware for "Civil War Days at the Museum". We will be set up tonight and open tomorrow for the event.
Come on out to enjoy a great glimpse into what life was like during the civil war.

Exciting weekend this week! BOBBY HORTON is in town along with SEAN DIETRICH and will be in our store to meet our customers and family/friends at Regimental Quartermaster. We have CDs available for purchase or bring yours along. They will be in our store from 10 to 12 on Saturday, August 16th to sign an autograph!

NEW BOOK LAUNCH
Author Don Allison and his coauthor Michael Sutton will be launching their new book, "A Choice Between Right and Duty: Love and War in the Civil War Letters of Lt. Col. Luther Strong," on Friday July 25th starting at 10:00 am at Regimental Quartermaster. This book is about the 44 letters Col. Strong wrote to his future wife during the war including his experiences in the 4th Corps with the 49th OVI. Copies of the book will be available and can be signed by the authors for your pleasure.

Are you all set for this week's big celebration? Regimental Quartermaster is! Stocked up and more coming in every day. New 1842's will be in store Wednesday afternoon.
Our SPECIAL Anniversary weekend hours are Thursday 10 am to 7 pm. Friday and Saturday we will open at 9 am and stay open 7 til the last guests leave 8 pm or later .
Don't forget to bring the ladies along to get a beautiful piece of jewelry from our Jeweler's Daughter store. We have the most stunning hand carved cameos from Italy and Germany!
