Friends, let me (Ashley) start by saying I've written this about a thousand times but realized I'll never truly find the words I want to express... so I'll just try my best.
When we (Kyle & I) started the JBF Poconos territory in 2020, with our first sale being in Spring of 2021, we never would have imagined how far and how fast our community would have grown. We started this journey as new "empty nesters" hoping that finding service to our community would fill a hole from "M" (one of our foster kiddos) leaving. It was because of her story that we even knew about JBF; hence our desire to jump into the franchise ownership role... being a blessing that once blessed our family. After 5 years, our community has grown more than 3x it's original size - because of YOU! We organized the event, but YOU made it amazing by showing up to shop, sell, and work the sale. Without products to sell, there is no sale. Without shoppers to buy the items, there is no sale. And without staff to run the sale, there is no sale. We could not have achieved what we have if YOU didn't support the JBF Poconos Community like you have. For that, we are eternally grateful. 💜
Some amazing finds, grandparents shopping for family traveling across the country to visit, extra money in a families over extended expenses, the new parents after 12 years of trying - the organized chaos (& joy) of it all... we will miss it. Greatly & deeply miss it. All of it. We have made so many new friends, and now have an unmeasureable amount of memories we'll take with us. YOU are, and will be, forever part of our story.
But unfortunately, all things must come to an end... and our contract as JBF Poconos owners is one of those things. After 18 months of trying to pass the sale to a new owner, we have remained unsuccessful. Without a new owner, this means there will be no Fall season sale, and beyond. 😭 While this was not an easy decision (because we LOVE our community dearly), our circumstances and family has changed since 2020, thus we will not be renewing our contract and will be stepping away from ownership. We THANK YOU for every year, every season, and every sale. 💜
