Did a fun project this weekend. Celina Brost had a special favor to ask.
The owner of this hatchet wanted me to come up with a way to make the holster not let the handle setting into his leg so much. He also didn't care about how it looked or how I did it.
She asked me to do it for his birthday, so I really wanted to get it done this weekend.
The leather was kinda junk... and I couldn't match the dye... so I decided to make a new one from scratch. This is what I came up with, with a snap buckle coming from the body side of the belt loop to pull pressure up from the very bottom front part of the holster.
It pulls the pressure up quite well. If I had more time, I would have made a matching cover for the hatchet head... but it's ok.
I threw his initials in, but did it subtle ratchet than boldly.... and threw in some hand stitched blue accents for the heck of it.
It turned out OK. It was my first time doing a holster of any type.
