It's my honor to recognize 100-year old Laura's Corset Shoppe as Small Business of the Year. After my mastectomy, I had to get fitted for a medical device: a specialized undergarment. I was moved by the safe space and sense of community from owner Haley.

I am so proud and honored to receive this award. I do appreciate Assemblymember Laura Friedman for recognition of small business!

It is my pleasure to officially recognize Laura's Corset Shoppe as the 43rd Assembly District's 2022 Small Business of the Year. Laura's Corset Shoppe is a wonderful locally-owned lingerie store that has served women of all sizes since its founding on February 22, 1922. In addition to selling some of the best American and European brands, Laura’s specializes in serving women who have had mastectomies and need prosthetics. As a breast cancer survivor, I am particularly grateful to Laura’s for their outstanding commitment to meeting the needs of survivors in such a warm atmosphere. A special thank you to the Shoppe’s CEO, Haley Trivoli, for your dedication to your customers and for joining me in Sacramento to celebrate!
