The 1940s marked a significant era for women's hats, reflecting both fashion and resilience during wartime.

Hats often featured embellishments like ribbons, flowers and feathers, adding a touch of elegance to outfits. 🎀 🌼🪶

They served as morale boosters, designed to be functional for both work and social events as women played dual roles during the war.

Hat boxes became widely used coinciding with the rise of fashionable hats. These boxes were designed to protect and store hats which were often delicate.

Beyond their practical use, hat boxes also served as a fashion statement, reflecting the owner's style and social status. Beautifully decorated boxes were part of the overall aesthetic of a woman's wardrobe. 👗🧥

We added 4 different style hats along with unique hat boxes in our booth at The Gobles Antique Mall. My favorite is the box from New York City’s Fifth Avenue Lord & Taylor delivered to a woman living on Park Avenue. ☺️

🇺🇸 As we come into Memorial Day weekend, please remember to pause a moment to remember and honor our fallen service members of the U.S. military. We owe each of them deep gratitude for their sacrifice allowing us to enjoy our freedom, democracy and security. 🇺🇸

Chances are you’ve come across vintage enamelware at some point in your life! Housewives relied on it from the early 1900’s well into the 1950’s. As a result, it can be easily found tucked away in your grandma’s cupboard, at garage sales, and flea markets.

We have a fond affection for enamelware of any kind and enjoy decorating with it. So it wasn’t a difficult decision to purchase this full lot we ran across at a market this weekend.

An assortment of pieces will make their way to each of our booths this week! Message us if there is anything you would like to see at a specific location.

Pyrex shopping is how we got started in this business!! It was our gateway into the vintage world. To this day, we are still drawn to the amazing, vibrant colors and patterns. 🥣🤩
