When the old neighbor calls and asked if you still shape hats. You say you bet!!!

They brought over their hat and it was not what I expected it to be. However, I was excited to start from scratch on it.

It turned out great. Yes, the back is higher than the front for the crown that is how he likes his crown shaped. No square front but the rounded front and dipped on the front and back. The toothpick is for center mark so I can keep the crown straight when doing it.

Circuit finals are over and it was a long 3 days. Was decently busy and didn't have time to take a lot of pictures.

I was able to take pics of these two hats. They were both clean and shapes for the cowboys. I know one for sure was in the finals as he said he was a bull rider when I asked. The other I think was as he wanted to make sure it was done before the perf.

I also have a work in progress to come. Ill get pics of that also.

It's circuit finals time!!!

I will be up at the Badlands Circuit Finals at the tradeshow. This Friday starting at 5 until Sunday at around 4 or so.

If you know of anyone needing a cowboy hat shaped, cleaned up from sitting over the summer send them my way!!!

Also sorry I haven't been updating much. Between getting the house last fall, working as a para, and going back to college to be a Special Education Teacher this kind of got put on the back burner a little. However, I'm just about done with college and doing amazing I have made the Dean's list every semester!!! Next semester I'll be student teaching and then its working on getting my license when I pass all my praxis test!!!

Hats I've worked on over the last couple months. A couple were from the circuit finals rodeo, of course I got busy at one point and didn't take pictures of all my work.

Of course pictures don't do some of these justice as they looked cleaner in person than in a photo.

I'm set up by the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame again this year!!!

Tonight and tomorrow rodeo starts at 7 and Sunday it is 1. There is also more going on during the days too just have to check out the badlands circuit finals page to see everything.

It's been a little while since I've posted. I haven't been doing much with the new addition back in May. However, I finally got my vendor spot for the circuit finals coming up Friday thru Sunday. I will for the 3rd year (as of now) be by the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame booth!!

Come take a look at the the vendors the list is long and it looks like a fun time will be had.

Oh, this is a hat I'm currently working on. So far it is cleaned and has a bit better shape but not done yet. This hat needs a lot of work can't wait to see what it looks like it when it's done.

It's been a hot few months since I posted. I wanted to update everyone who might be looking for me at shows this summer or fall.

I won't be doing many this year as you can see we have a little boy coming the end of May or beginning of June, we found out at the girls wrestling practice 2 coaches wreslted off to see if it was a boy or girl. I won't know until we set up a date for the c section.

With me having that done it will be at least an 8 week lift restriction so moving and pulling my stuff around won't work.

I'm hoping to try and do (depends yet on how I feel) the Golden Valley Shootout. This would be the earliest vendor set I would be at. The other will be the Badlands Circuit Finals in October.

Now if you need a hat done and live close by to me I could always shape at my house. Now, I will be honest and might turn it down if I'm just not ready and feeling my best yet. I don't want to ever not be 100 percent when I'm shaping and cleaning hats.

Day 2 of the badlands circuit finals hasn't disappointed. Had my work cut out for me on the ones I remembered to take pictures of. I wasn't sure if I was going to get the middle 2 hats to shape but I got them to work. Took a lot of hat stiffener but I finally was able to do something with what it let me work with.
