🎣What an adventure! I had the Crawford family on the boat today. This family wanted to see all the Neuse River had to offer. It was a little chili, and the wind was brutal, but the Crawford’s were ready to ride. The wife was bundled up for the ride, she was such a trooper. We started at Lawsons Creek and made our way to every creek along the way to Oriental. We stopped and grabbed a bite to eat and relax for a second. The water was white cappin, but every time I looked back, this family was smiling and loving it. It was a true blast having Mark, Julie, and Solomon on the boat today. During the ride, we did slide a blue over the rails. Thanks again for allowing me the opportunity to take yall out! ✝️🎣.

And a shoutout to M & M Cafe in Oriental….that Ahi Tuna Sandwich was on point! 😎

You ever thought about how some people can read their downscan, sidescan, 2D, livescope, and 360 imaging with no problem. Then can learn every setting and know what each feature does, but those same people say that the Bible is too hard to understand.

It trips me out!

✝️🎣 Sometimes you have to motivate yourself! So I made a bet with myself. I built a company around faith, but I had never read the Bible all the way through. So I decide back in October to start on page 1 and start reading. I am proud to say that by February I had finished reading the Bible. I wanted to finish before my Mom passed away, and I am proud to say that I accomplished that goal, and she knew I finished. See if you don’t read it for yourself, then you are stuck taking other people’s word about its contents. What about if those people pull things out of context and use it in a manner that manipulates? See, if you don’t read it for yourself, you would never know that they are teaching the word inaccurately. Next Cast is a company built on Faith and Fishing, and I am going to start doing more video talking about things that people need to hear. Stay Prayed Up! ✝️

✝️🎣. We have all been there, you go fishing and you just can’t get them to bite. You feel you have done everything right, but still nothing. When you think about it, blessings can feel like that too. You do good, you bless others, and you praise His name, yet you feel like others are seeing blessings and you aren’t. What you have to remember is timing is everything. Keep casting, keep doing good, and keep praising His name, and when the time is right, the fish will bite and the blessings will come. Never second guess if what you are doing is working. You just need to wait for your time.

What a blast it was to get back out on the water and do what I love to do. I appreciate Stan White and his boys for letting me take them out and show them around New Bern. It was a grind, but we finally found quality sized trout, and a little guy mixed in. Isaac caught his first trout ever and it was around 21”. We worked on Asher’s casting and he got pretty good! Just an all around fun time!

The Summer heat is gone and the Fall weather is showing up. That means that the fishing is about to get rocking, and also the new Fall styles have arrived!

⛈️🎣Have you ever realized that some of the best fishing days are when the weather is the worst? I mean it’s cold, rainy, and windy and you are on the way to the boat ramp wondering why you even got out of bed. But once you back the boat down, put on your rain gear, and finally get to that first spot, and your are a few casts in……….then that thump happens! We all have to remember that success doesn’t come from staying in comfort, it comes from being different. It comes from stepping into the storm, facing the wind and the rain, all the while understanding that the old verse holds true, “Faith without works is dead.” You don’t have to worry about the fish, they are already wet, you just have to be there to weather the storm, and be ready to set those hooks on the opportunities as they present themselves. Then all of a sudden the wind, rain, and cold isn’t all that bad anymore, and you are thankful that you were bold enough to be different. Stay Prayed Up!

We all have that old, dusty lure that we never use until nothing else in our tackle box is working. That’s funny because sometimes that is how we look at God. We exhaust all other options before we take our problems and issues to Him. We need to remember that He is the one that told us not to be anxious about anything. Yet here we are, as a society anxious about everything. We need to remember that He has seen our yesterday, today, and tomorrow, so He knows what we need way before we do. We all need to relax, lean in with some faith, and just for a second realize that everything that happens in life is meant to build us up. We all have to just Hold Firm.
