I love them both for completely different reasons, and honestly I can never decide which colors to make more of! 😂

Nana’s Attic started with yarn, a crochet hook… and a simple love for making things by hand. 🧶💕

At first, I was just creating because I enjoyed it.

One project turned into another…
then another…
and before long, friends and family started asking:
“Can you make one for me too?”

That’s when I realized something special was happening.

What began as a creative outlet slowly became Nana’s Attic Crochet — a place filled with handmade animals, cozy blankets, storybooks, and keepsakes created with love and intention.

And honestly?
I never imagined this little business would grow into something that connects me with so many wonderful people.

Every order, comment, message, and share still means the world to me.

Looking back, I think the biggest “aha” moment wasn’t one giant sale…

it was realizing that the things I made with my own two hands could bring comfort, joy, and memories into someone else’s home. 💕

And that still feels pretty amazing.

The last thing I bought for my business?

More yarn. 😂🧶

Because in Nana’s Attic, yarn somehow disappears faster than I can keep up with it!

This newest yarn haul is for finishing more bunny blanket bundles — soft handmade sets designed to become cozy keepsakes for little ones. 🐰💕

Every color choice starts me imagining:
✨ nursery colors
✨ baby shower gifts
✨ bedtime cuddles
✨ and tiny hands dragging a favorite blanket everywhere they go

That’s the fun part of creating handmade pieces…
before the first stitch is even made, I’m already imagining the person who might someday love it.

And honestly?
Buying yarn might be one of my favorite parts of running a crochet business. 😂

but you CAN buy a colorful loopy sheep…

and honestly that’s kind of the same thing. 🐑💕

Because happiness sometimes looks like:
✨ soft squishy yarn
✨ a goofy sheep expression
✨ bright cheerful colors
✨ and a handmade friend waiting to be loved

This sweet sheep was stitched slowly by hand in Nana’s Attic with cozy cuddles and comfort in mind.

Not mass produced.
Not factory made.

Living in the South Carolina Lowcountry means summer is officially arriving… ☀️🥵

And with it comes:
✨ sunshine
✨ longer days
✨ blooming flowers

…and humidity thick enough to crochet a blanket out of. 😂

Truthfully?
My favorite seasons are actually Spring and Fall.

I love those warm-but-cozy days when:
🍂 the air feels lighter
🍂 the windows can stay open
🍂 and it’s the perfect weather to sit with yarn in my lap creating something handmade

Those seasons always make Nana’s Attic feel extra cozy to me. 💕

Still, summer does bring one thing I love:
bright colors, baby blankets, outdoor markets, and dreaming up new creations for the months ahead.

Who is this meant for? 💭

🧶 a fun little craft show stuffie someone falls in love with instantly?

🧶 an heirloom piece meant to be treasured for years, tucked into nurseries, rocked to sleep, and someday remembered long after childhood?

That question changes everything.

🧶 the stuffing fluff ALL over the house 😂

When I look back at some of the very first things I crocheted… wow. 😂

The stitches weren’t perfect.
The shaping was a little wonky.
And I was still figuring out what kind of maker I wanted to become.

But every project taught me something.

Over the years I’ve learned:
🧶 better shaping
🧶 cleaner stitching
🧶 softer yarn choices
🧶 and how to create pieces that feel truly special and comforting

What hasn’t changed is the heart behind it.

Every handmade piece from Nana’s Attic is still created slowly, one stitch at a time, with love and care.

And honestly?
I’m kind of proud of those early imperfect projects now… because they remind me that growth takes time. 💕
