My department, "Yokuah's Secret: Beaded Accessories", combines the rich traditions of Krobo beads from Ghana with the novelty of modern-day patterns. The Adinkra symbol on our logo represents the combined talents of mother and daughter, for "two heads are better than one". We also retail handmade products from the women of Street Girls Aid, a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Ghana that educates, supports, and houses homeless girls who live on the streets of the capital, Accra. These handcrafted goods are sold to fund these women's lessons, facilities, and everyday needs at the NGO. 100% of the profit from sales in our store goes to Street Girls Aid.
