Can you hear it? It is he silence that comes with the snow. I think it’s my favorite sound in the world. It’s a special kind of silence that calms my heart that makes me know that everything is fine.

We didn’t get much snow this year and the girls and I are so wanting some snowed in days. We are in March so there is still home.

FYI…. It was so nice the last few weeks that I was tempted to put some seeds in the ground. Just as I did we started to get some snow. I seriously think I have supper powers.

While my garden is not the best I ever had, I am extremely grateful for what I get. With a very busy catering season (again very grateful), and prep yard work that was needed, (late w**d whacking is much harder) I ended up planting really late this year which is crucial at my elevation. Luckily the days been hot and my little garden is happy and me too. I have a special visitor this year (see him in the pictures) one I didn’t think I’ll see here again and that makes me even happier. He doesn’t see well but he somehow finds everything in the garden and knows exactly what grews where. :)

There is a special feeling in the air. The feeling of the end of summer. It is bittersweet and I’m calming down into the changing winds.

I find my self day dreaming about fall, 🍂 special curated meals, cooking classes, brunch popups, & breakfast clubs with all that garden goodness that is yet to come. Find me at for more on that

I’m hoping to share soon some of the design project I’ve being working on this past year. It is moving slow but coming along and I’m almost ready to call in a new design project to come my way.

The different shapes of white. Some say it’s boring. For me it’s timeless. It is a space that doesn’t get old that feels like a fresh breath.

Excited to reuse this antique wash stand. I’ve Been hunting for this piece all over, for a while. Finally in one of our local antique stores beneath lots of things it’s been waiting.

The magic of stillness. Nothing to do, nowhere to go. Days to just BE.
As an “over doer” I absolutely love love snowed in days. Beside the breathtaking, ever changing landscape of my home; I’m fully embracing the slow down, the time in with my family, a good book, playing music and of course lots of time in the kitchen to just play. So…. two cakes, 2 large jars of sauerkraut, sushi & ramen for dinner, and (will share more soon… ) a new set of hand built ceramic bowls after, this is my kind of a day. 🤍

Walking through the alleys of my childhood. The colors, the yelling vendors, the specific smell of each market alley, everything seasonal. All brings back so many memories. A deep feeling of familiarity, of home away from home. Despite time and space. Remembering where I came from.
As a child I used to ask my mom not to go through the alley where they sell fresh fish. Still…. It was too much for me. I waited outside for my dad to finish shopping and my daughters as well refused to go through. 😂

Bitter sweet to leave my garden at its pick. I had a feeling (prayer) when I planted that I might not be here for the full harvest but still could not help myself. This is my ritual, my way of life. This is my service to my family to grow our food. And now, it is my gift to our land keeper to enjoy this magic of true nourishing food.

Yesterday she was half way. And that’s how I feel for a long time, A part of me is half. We talk a lot lately me and her. She is such a good listener. She Carries my prayer and holds my dreams. She reminds me who I am.
So this is big and If you know me you know what it means….. coming to visit the mother land. Catch me if you can……
