Not many of you know that my very first creative / entrepreneurial job right off of fashion school was making hand made hair accessories for a shoe store I was obsessed with!
I still remember the jitters before walking in to see if they would be interested in carrying my creations.
I was pacing up and down the block around the corner for at least an hour until I was able to build up the courage to walk in.
Well… they loved my creations and my shoe closet never looked better since… Instead of getting paid I would just buy shoes instead 😂 I still remember how I would zone out for hours and bead all the hair accessories by hand and my dad worried if I wouldn’t stop I would loose my eyesight (Persian parents worries / tales. I’m still a 20/20 BH). Sewing little hair accessories is so relaxing to me I can’t even explain it, I feel so blessed to be able to do something I enjoy so much every single day!
Fast forwards to today, when my son’s school reached out to ask me if I could make them hair accessories I was so honored and so excited, I got so many flashbacks and remembered how much I enjoyed doing this… well stay tuned because after many of all of your requests you might be finally seeing some hair accessories added to our collections very soon!
