Thrifty Artisans, LLC Thrifty Artisans, LLC, James & Karen Van Rossum, are lifelong residents of the Green Bay area and are new members to the Green Bay Botanical Garden.

Inspiration for the silverware art comes from a gift Karen received which was made from James’ grandmother’s silverware. That piece of art which radiates with personal memories quickly found a prominent place in their garden. James, a welder by trade, decided to “upcycle” silverware found at many thrift stores into pieces of art so others can also experience those memories in a whimsical kind of w

ay. The Van Rossums truly enjoy hearing the fond family stories that evolve when others recognize a particular silverware pattern...which re-enforces their passion.
