We’ve officially kicked off our first auction of the year, and the energy in the room is fantastic. With a full house in attendance, the timber wolves selling well right out of the gate. It is a strong start to the auction, and we’re looking forward to maintaining this momentum throughout the day.

I've been seeing a lot of posts lately about the size difference between your typical black bear and polar bear. In my mind I've always thought polar bears were about the same size as grizzly bears. I guess I just never knew how massive these guys are! very interesting to see the size reference.

The Polar Bear is generally the largest of the three species.

Adult males usually weigh 350 to 700 kilograms (770 to 1,540 pounds) and can reach lengths of about 2.4 to 3 meters (8 to 10 feet), while females are smaller.

The Grizzly Bear, a subspecies of the Brown Bear, is also very large but typically smaller than the polar bear, with adult males commonly weighing 180 to 360 kilograms (400 to 800 pounds) and measuring about 1.8 to 2.8 meters (6 to 9 feet) in length.

The American Black Bear is the smallest of the three, with adult males usually weighing 60 to 250 kilograms (130 to 550 pounds) and reaching lengths of about 1.2 to 2 meters (4 to 6.5 feet), though size varies depending on region and food availability.
