We launched Rana Golf just over a year ago with a simple goal: to make a better golf bag for our son.

I’ve had him out on the course since he could crawl, and as he got older he started showing a lot of interest in the game and ultimately wanted everything Dad had: the golf hat, polo, glove, and clubs. Eventually, he asked for his own golf bag, and the answer was an obvious yes.

So as a consumer, I hopped online to see what I could find and was shocked with the limited number of options for toddler golf bags. What was out there felt cheap, poorly made, or lacked functionality, often a combination of them all. So after a few weeks of coming up short, I had the idea to make our own and asked my wife to join me in this venture.

I wanted to create a bag that found the perfect intersection of functionality and design. One that did two things: gave mom and dad the confidence to purchase a bag with a well-designed look and aesthetic, and more importantly, one that gave kids a feeling of “this is mine.” One that allows them to have as much independence and autonomy as possible to make it their own. Because this is where true passion is created.

We care deeply about the quality and design of our bags, but more importantly, we care about what the bag provides for kids and how it can help introduce them to this wonderful game.

It’s a game that can teach so much about life and themselves, create community, and lifelong memories with families and friends.

All of this came to the forefront of my mind as I walked the fairways this morning for an early round with my son, right where it all started.

It’s always been more than a bag, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store.
