Hi, we’re Ben and Jamie, the founders of Rise Above Apparel. Our journey began in the summer of 2023 with a shared dream to create a clothing line that not only looks good but also inspires and empowers others. Though we come from different backgrounds—I (Jamie) moved from Hawaii to Oregon in 2021, and Ben has lived here most of his life—we both faced our own battles and found strength in faith an

d the support of loved ones. I overcame struggles with mental health as a single mom of two living in a new state, facing financial difficulties and the challenges of starting over, while Ben, a recovering addict, has been sober since 2020. Together, we wanted to create something that could help others believe they can rise above life’s toughest challenges. In November 2023, our lives were forever changed when Ben’s 19-year-old son and his best friend were tragically taken from us in an accident. This unimaginable loss has brought a deeper purpose to our mission. In honor of his son’s memory, we designed a new logo that reflects the spirit of "chasing sunsets"—a reminder to find beauty in each day and the courage to move forward, even through the darkest times. Rise Above Apparel is more than just clothing; it’s a message of hope and strength. It’s a reminder that even when faced with deep pain—whether from loss, depression, or any hardship—there is always a path forward. By holding onto faith and believing in brighter days, we can all find the strength to rise above. We offer a variety of styles— some trending, some requested, and others created by us with a story behind them. We also offer custom designs, working closely with you to bring your vision to life.
