So, just went to the grocery store and had the worst grocery bagger in the history of the world. Usually we have a great experience with the checkers and baggers at Fred Meyer but today was quite the opposite. Our checker was fine, but as the items passed down to the bagger it became clear our groceries were in for a dangerous ride. He filled the bags up to the brim and slammed them into the cart. Apparently he needed a break... Then as he was loading another bag into the cart it ripped completely down the side. He removed a few items from that bag (which was still in our cart) and loaded them into a different bag. I was guessing he was going to grab the rest of the items from the demolished bag and put them into a new one. Plot twist- he threw the final bag on top of the ripped bag, and handed us a half gallon milk container for his finale... I could tell he had a huge attitude brewing under his mask so I just left in confusion. Got to the car and had to sort and load the rest of the groceries from the ripped bag into the others. He had put a shampoo bottle on top of tomatoes, loaded heavy items on top of all the fragile produce, and just did the worst job I’ve ever experienced. In the scheme of things, absolutely a small issue with the way of the world, but SERIOUSLY that kid needed some retraining. All is well, and the groceries survived, but if I get that kid again and he’s just as terrible, I’m going to tell him he needs to get some retraining.
