The Gretna Police Department is officially kicking off this 2026 traffic safety campaign to keep our community safe.

𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟏𝟒 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟕, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, officers will be participating in the statewide "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" initiative, coordinated by the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission and funded through Traffic Safety Marketing.

What to Expect:
•𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬: August 14 – September 7, 2026
•𝐄𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: High-visibility officer presence, and dedicated saturation patrols
•𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬: Identifying drivers impaired by alcohol, illegal drugs, or impairing medications

Help us keep Gretna roads safe this Labor Day season—drive sober, stay safe, and designate a driver.
