It is very gratifying to want to protect and preserve our great heritage, which has been past down from the older generation to us and most of all to make the younger geneartion appreciative of their history and heritage.

We are mostly been relegate to positions of being worker, raw material producers and consumers, not actual benefactors of the industry at large. What do you say? Let hear people out and give them a voice share their views on all this important issues about the future of the African textile and fashion and not perpertuators of the status-quo.

The question is how do we ddo that or accomplish such a dornting task of fighting agaisnt such powerful interest of control which have generations been not about the interest of the African people but foriegn acontrol and domination of the industry. We need a voice to speak about some of these long standing issues that confront the growth of the industry.

As textile professional whi has been trained, worked and interest in the future of the industry from a purely continuity of the traditional heritage and historic importance they hold in the culture and people Africa. We have to shed light on some of these long standing issues which do not only help but determine the futrue of the industry for posterity seek and ensuring that our historic textile are protect.
