It was extensive work, but we were able to reshape and lower the illusion part of this dress to better flatter her gorgeous figure.

You’d never guess that this dress originally had very wide straps! It’s sometimes possible to change the neckline on a dress, but it often takes a lot of reconstruction and extra fittings if you’re removing straps or sleeves. Contact your seamstress earlier than you think you need to when making major changes to your dress!

Last summer, our bride brought an exquisite dress that she fell in love with, but she didn’t want much of a train or a bustle for her simple outdoor wedding. The tiers and the finished length required made this a bit tricky, and VERY scary for me - and I’m almost never scared to cut! After several fittings and trials, I was able to create a train that blended beautifully into the front of the dress.

This dress wasn’t fitting quite right when our beautiful bride, Samantha, brought it in. The back featured a tulle insert with an appliqué that was too small for her back. We decided not only to replace the tulle, but to source a lace that went well with the appliqués at her waist to provide a little more coverage.
