Nothing captures the spirit of being in Hawaii than wearing a flower lei. 🌿🌺
Navigating the stars in sailing canoes from Tahiti to Hawaii, Polynesian voyagers introduced the lei custom, and now tradition, to the Hawaiian islands.
Since I grew up on an island, I am familiar with giving, receiving, and wearing flower lei (s).
I have so much affection for them and feel like a princess each and every time I have the privilege to wear one.
It really is the best and most natural perfume you can wear that doesn't come in a bottle, and the beauty of the flowers always delights all my senses.
It's really the most automatic and fragrant natural mood enhancer I know.
Change your world, your day, and look with one in an instant.
My ultimate Coup de Coeur, however, is the flower crown, called the Marmar. (and just so happens to be a nickname of mine, given to me after an engagement celebration weekend thrown by one of my best girlfriends @ iisland.slimes )
I could wear one every single day, and if you have the chance, I'd say do it too. It truly is a statement of beauty and found all across the pacific. I still remember the one I wore as m.o.h for another one of my best friend's weddings in Maui some many years back. ... it was gorgeous.
Sure, it's true that they are not as commonly worn as the Lei, and are often used for formal wear, or special occasions especially graduations or to celebrate major life events. But I would wear one every single day if I could.
Remember, there are very few “rules” when it comes to wearing a Hawaiian lei. Anyone can wear one, anytime – there need not be an occasion. So make today that special occasion!
While in Honolulu, be sure to visit Hawaii Flower Lei, or call and order your gorgeous piece today.
