Dear Poppie Ruth friends, ✨

Just a little note to let you know that Poppie Ruth will be closed Saturday 9/5 through Wednesday 9/9. We’ll be taking a few days to rest, reset, and get everything ready for you!

We’ll be here all week through Saturday for anyone who needs to stop in and shop for anything before we close for a few days! 🤎

We’ll reopen Thursday 9/10 during our regular business hours.

Some of our favorite new arrivals have moseyed on into the shop 🤎🍂

We’re talking soft fall pieces, a little Western flair, and the kind of clothes you’ll reach for again and again. You come home from a long day at work, kick your boots off, light your favorite candle, open your Bible, and wash away the day. The water is hot, steam is rolling, and your whole bathroom smells like fresh-cut eucalyptus. 🌿

Now you get to settle in, relax, and wait for your husband to come home with your steak quesadilla and chips & salsa. Because honestly… that sounds like a pretty perfect evening to me!! 🫧

We will always, and forever, love you, Mrs. Dolly Parton. 🤍

Today feels especially heavy here at Poppie Ruth. Dolly has been more than just an icon to me, she has been a little piece of the soundtrack to my life.

I grew up listening to her songs, and somewhere along the way, they became the backdrop to some of life’s biggest milestones. I listened to Dolly through college, through falling in love and getting married, and now, as I stand in the little shop that we dreamed of, Poppie Ruth.

Her music has followed me through seasons of growing up, becoming a wife, chasing dreams, and building something of our own. There’s something so special about realizing that the songs you grew up with are still there, holding a little piece of you in every season.

Thank you for being such a beautiful, iconic backwoods Barbie, and for showing little Eastern North Carolina girls like me that we could be feminine, spunky, country, kind, and unapologetically ourselves, while still dreaming BIG.

Thank you for the music, the stories, the rhinestones, the big hair, and most of all, for giving generations of little girls someone to look up to.

Forever a legend. Forever our Dolly. And forever a part of my story. 💕🎀✨

From Hallsboro, NC all the way to Round Top, Texas 🌵✨ Becky packed her bags for a little out-west inspiration and came home with plenty of stories, new friends, and a whole lot of inspiration.

She stayed at the iconic Junk Gypsy’s Wander Inn, spent time swapping stories and ideas with fellow boutique owners, and soaked up every bit of that Texas creativity we love so much. And the video we’re sharing? Well… enjoy a small piece of our big personalities, and a little glimpse of the “Moosifer”encounter!🐂 I think he was interested in our southern eastern accent!

She may have also found herself eyeing a pair of those perfectly vintage, broken-in cowboy boots… because who wouldn’t want to walk in the boots of a Texas cowgirl!👢🤎

We’re so excited to bring a little bit of that Junk Gypsy spirit back to Poppie Ruth. We’ll soon be carrying their legendary merchandise in the shop, and we can’t wait to share this little piece of Texas with y’all!
